 Welcome

‘To provide high quality primary care services which improve the health and social care outcomes for the population of Solihull’

Village Surgery Patients

Please be aware that The Village Surgery has changed medical computer systems.  We are now using Systmone and unfortunately  you will need to re-register to use the online service if you have not already done so.   Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Could you either contact the surgery for new online access details or apply via the website by clicking this link Online Booking if you have not already done so.

When you first use the new online system for requesting repeat medication, you may find that you are being asked to book a medication review appointment prior to being able to order the prescription.  Please contact the practice beforehand to alert them to this fact as it may be possible to review your medication without you having to be seen.  Either phone the practice on 0121 796 2777 option 6 or e mail villagesurgery@nhs.net

Many thanks for your patience and understanding.

The Village Surgery.

What is GPS Healthcare?

6 GP practices have merged to become 1 practice with 6 sites.

If you are a patient of these 6 practices the service you receive will still be available, but you will be able to access services at any of the sites if it is more convenient for you.

Your patient record and registration will be held by

GPS Healthcare, and your original practice will be retained as your ‘usual’ site.

  • How to find out more information—see either your practice website or www.gpshealthcare.co.uk—ask at your practice for an information leaflet
  • What services will be available—all those you are currently used to and in the future more as the group develops
  • What if I don’t want to be part of it—you will need to register at a practice outside of the group, NHS Choices website will give you details
  • Will my surgery close—there is no intention to alter any of the current locations.

Why are we doing it?

To deliver excellent care and service to our patients. To deliver sustainable cost-effective high quality of care. To prevent the loss of traditional primary care to commercial providers. To protect general practice and deliver services to patients within a local environment.

Benefits for patients

GPS Healthcare will provide a wealth of experienced clinicians with a broad range of special interests including diabetes, derma tology, rheumatoid arthritis and minor surgery. This may save you having to attend hospital for advice and/or treatment. One larger practice will provide security for delivery of health services, with each surgery maintaining the valuable relationships built with you over the years. Access to appointments at other sites at times better suited to you may be available.
